Tri-County Human Services is pleased to announce Blair Allen as a new Ambassador for the organization.

Blair AllenBlair Allen currently serves as the elected Public Defender for Florida’s 10th Judicial Circuit, representing Polk, Highlands, and Hardee counties. Since taking office in January 2025, she has made history as the first female Public Defender for the circuit.

With nearly two decades of legal experience, Blair has dedicated her career to public service. She began her work in the State Attorney’s Office in 2006 before joining the Public Defender’s Office in 2007. Over the years, she has served in multiple divisions, representing clients at the trial level in both misdemeanor and felony cases, including serious charges such as armed robbery and first-degree murder. She has also contributed her expertise to the appellate division, advocating for clients before the Second District Court of Appeal.

A proud Polk County native, Blair grew up in Lakeland and is a graduate of Lakeland Senior High School. She earned her undergraduate degree in Sociology and Anthropology from Washington & Lee University and went on to receive her law degree from Stetson College of Law.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Blair is deeply involved in the community. She is an active member of several local organizations, including First United Methodist Church of Lakeland, the Lakeland Rotary Club, Hospice Women of Giving, and the Lakeland NAACP.

As an Ambassador for Tri-County Human Services, Blair will help support the organization’s mission by increasing awareness, strengthening community connections, and advocating for the individuals and families served across the region.
